Welcome Books

The UK Network for Modern Fiction Studies (UKNMFS) is an organisation that promotes academic interchanges and new research into modern and contemporary British fiction. It is open to everyone with an active research interest in this field.

The UK Network aims to develop research and scholarship into literature, criticism and theory from 1880s to the present day. By promoting links between all those who are interested in modern fiction including creative practitioners, the Network contributes to the growth of both critical and creative cultures, and encourages all those working in this field.

In order to encourage research into relevant areas the UK Network organises seminars, conferences and symposia, details of which are published on this website.

The UK Network works to link academics internationally, and aims to forge powerful e-communities as well as further 'real world' links and activities in order to move towards creating a truly international network in this field. It is happy to receive suggestions and requests from academics, researchers, scholars and creative practitioners from around the world.
